Teknikrör i Kinna AB and Gunnar Hansson Svesteknik merge into a new company, Weldin Gothenburg
In order to create a more efficient, flexible and stronger organization, the Proton-owned companies, Teknikrör i Kinna AB and Gunnar Hansson Svetsteknik AB, are now merging. The merger means greater opportunities to develop the company and the offer to customers. The new company name will be Weldin Gothenburg AB.
– That we become a larger organization with more capacity will only benefit our customers, both existing and new. We can take on more and bigger assignments and our customers can still keep their contact persons. Sharpening the offer and having a closer dialogue with customers are just a few examples of what we see a stronger organization can contribute to, says Martin Svensson, MD at Teknikrör.
– We get more capacity to switch up and take on more, fun assignments. Our employees are very positive about the change, which is obviously important to us as they are the backbone of the business. With a larger organization, and with an owner like Proton, we can also have a greater focus on sustainability, says Gunnar Hansson, MD at GH Svetsteknik.
For some time now, the two companies have shared premises in Mölndal, but will in connection with the merge move to new premises in the Storås industrial area just outside Gothenburg.
Two strong, reputable companies with unique competence can offer even more capacity and flexibility to our customers.
David Gustafsson
CEO, Proton Group
– These are two strong, well-regarded companies with unique competence and by merging the companies we strengthen the company and can offer even more capacity and flexibility to our customers. We see several advantages with what a larger organization can offer, says David Gustafsson, Group CEO Proton Group.
Teknikrör and GH Svetsteknik, both of which were acquired by Proton Group two years ago, offer complete solutions in pipe work of industrial pipes, process pipes, food pipes and plumbing. In addition to various types of technically advanced contracts, they also carry out assembly, repairs and service and maintenance work. In the past year, the two companies have jointly invested and recruited the majority of competent employees, mainly in assembly.
Weldin Gothenburg, just like Teknikrör and GH Svetsteknik, will belong to Proton’s business area Proton Structure.
